What to Expect in this Program
Enhance your skills with ACSA’s free, self-paced online fundamentals program, available until 30 June, 2028. Designed by Geetha Ortac (Project Checkpoint and My Project Tribe) with contributions from experts from TERN - Dr Katie Irvine and Dr Donna Lewis. This initiative, driven by ACSA’s South Australia chapter, is funded by the South Australian Government’s Citizen Science Funds Grant. This program supports both new and seasoned practitioners in citizen science seeking to strengthen their capacity in project management and evaluation fundamentals.

* 15 Project Management topics - from problem analysis, project costing, and stakeholder engagement to practical design skills.
* 5 Evaluation topics - including logic models, and evaluation questions.
(2) Project Management Course Structure
* 11 Core Modules - covering essential knowledge and skills to plan and design effective projects.
* 4 Value-Add Modules - helping you communicate your project more clearly, strengthen grant applications and integrate key considerations into your design.
(3) 2 Specialised Units
* Delivered by experts from TERN, covering best practices for ecological survey data, and vegetation type classification.
(4) 90+ Free Resources
* Worksheets, templates, info sheets, and papers to support your learning and practice.
(5) Flexible Learning Path
* Learn at your own pace - choose any module in any order.
* Optional quizzes and 'Making Learning Stick' activities to help you apply and retain what you learn.
(6) E-Certificate Option
* Earn a certificate for completing a full course.
