How do I access the online capacity building program?

For new users
You can access the program by visiting https://acsacapacitybuilding.ezycourse.com. This is the main program page where you can explore available courses and register for an account.

For existing users
If you are already registered, log in to your account at https://acsacapacitybuilding.ezycourse.com/login using your email and password.

Do I need to create an account to access the courses?

Yes, all new users must create an account on the program portal. The program is hosted by EzyCourse, a subscription based online training portal supported by a citizen science grant received from the South Australian Government.

Click "Register Here" on the main program page, provide your first name, last name, email, and a password, and verify your account with the six-digit code sent to your email.

If you encounter issues with registration, please reach out via the contact us option found at the bottom of the Home page.

What should I do if I don’t receive the verification email?

If you don’t receive the verification email with the six-digit code, check your spam or junk folder. If it’s not there, click "Resend Code" on the sign-up page to request a new code.

Are the courses free to enrol in?

Yes, all courses (Introduction to Project Management Fundamentals, Evaluation Fundamentals, and Data) are free to enrol in. You can sign up for one or more courses based on your interests.

How do I enrol in a course?

From the main program page (https://acsacapacitybuilding.ezycourse.com), scroll down to the list of available courses.

Click on the course title or image (e.g., "Introduction to Project Management Fundamentals"), then click "Enroll Now" on the course page. Complete the enrolment form with details such as the state you are currently based in, name of your organisation or work, and reasons for enrolling, then click "Complete Purchase" to add the course to your dashboard.

Is it mandatory to provide additional profile information on the dashboard?

No, updating your profile with additional details or adding a profile photo is optional (in your dashboard). You can choose to provide as much or as little information as you like to keep your learning experience hassle-free.

How can I track my progress in a course?

On your student dashboard, you can view all enrolled courses. Within each course, click on a unit and select "Complete & Continue" after finishing it to mark your progress. The percentage of progress for each module is displayed at the top of the module page.

Do I need to complete all units or modules in a course?

No, you are not required to complete all units or modules. The program is designed to be flexible, allowing you to engage with content that aligns with your interests and time availability. You can access units or modules in any order.

Can I download course videos or slides?

No, course videos and slides are not available for download. However, each module includes a summary document with an overview of the content, which you can download from the last unit of each module.

Will I receive a certificate for completing a course?

Yes, upon completing an entire course (e.g., all units and quizzes in Introduction to Project Management Fundamentals), you will receive an e-certificate of completion. However, completing a course in its entirety is not mandatory.

If you have completed the entire course, but have not received a copy of the certificate, please reach out via the contact us option found at the bottom of the Home page.

Before contacting us, please ensure that you have completed all the units, including quizzes.

Are the quizzes mandatory?

No, quizzes at the end of modules are optional. However, if you want to earn an e-certificate for completing a course, you must complete the quizzes, which typically consist of 5–12 multiple-choice questions.

How do I download additional resources?

At the end of each module, you will find a downloadable ZIP file labelled, for example, "Module 1 Resources [Download ZIP File]."

Click "Click here to download" to access worksheets, information resources, or papers. Check the module’s description for details on the resources included.

Can I enrol in multiple courses at the same time?

Yes, you can enrol in multiple courses (e.g., Project Management Fundamentals, Evaluation Fundamentals, and Data) simultaneously. All enrolled courses will appear on your student dashboard.

What should I do if a video is blurry or takes time to load?

It is normal for videos to take a few seconds to adjust to clarity when you start playing them. If the video remains blurry or loads slowly, adjust the video quality to a lower setting (e.g., 480p) using the gear icon on the video player. You can also select "Auto" to let the system adjust based on your internet connection.

How can I adjust the video playback speed or audio volume?

Use the gear icon on the video player to access "Playback" and adjust the speed (drag left to slow down or right to speed up to 2x). For audio, use the volume icon to adjust the standard volume, or use the gear icon’s "Audio" option to boost the volume up to 300%.

What is Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode, and how do I use it?

Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode allows the course video to play in a floating window while you use other applications. To enable it, click the rectangular PiP icon on the video player. To exit, close the floating window.

How do I enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for my account?

On your student dashboard, click "Profile" in the left menu, then select "Enable 2FA" to add an extra layer of security to your account. Follow the prompts to set it up.

Can I change the email address used for my account?

Yes, you can change your email address in the "Profile" section of your dashboard. Enter the new email and click "Save Change." Note that this will also update your login email.

How can I delete my account if I no longer wish to participate?

In the "Profile" section of your dashboard, click "Send verification code" under the account deletion option. Enter the six-digit code sent to your email, then click "Delete Account" to remove your account from the platform.

Can I access the course on my mobile device?

No, the program platform is best viewed and accessed on your laptop or desktop. We recommend Google Chrome browser.

What should I do if I forget my password?

On the login page, click "Forgot Password" and follow the prompts to receive a password reset link via email.

If despite multiple attempts, and you are unable to resolve it, please reach out via the contact us option found at the bottom of the Home page.

Is there a time limit to complete the courses?

No, there is no time limit to complete the courses. You can progress at your own pace and access the content whenever it suits you.

However, please note that the entire program will end on the 30th of June 2028. Post this date, the program will no longer exist.

Why does it show 'Lifetime' access to courses on my student dashboard?

Many course platforms are geared towards selling courses and enables the subscriber to set specific program durations. However, as we are offering this program cost-free, unfortunately, we are unable to change the end date.

Given this circumstance, please note that while it displays as lifetime access to the courses in this program - the program will end at the end of June in 2028.

Enhance your skills with ACSA’s free, self-paced online fundamentals program, available until 30 June, 2028. Designed by Geetha Ortac (Project Checkpoint and My Project Tribe) with contributions from experts from TERN - Dr Katie Irvine and Dr Donna Lewis. This initiative, driven by ACSA’s South Australia chapter, is funded by the South Australian Government’s Citizen Science Funds Grant. This program supports both new and seasoned practitioners in citizen science seeking to strengthen their capacity in project management and evaluation fundamentals.
